Alan is a third generation New Mexican whose family has been in business in Northern New Mexico for over 100 years. Alan was born in Carlsbad, NM in 1951. He grew up there and graduated with honors from high school in 1969. He spent a year in Sweden as a Foreign Exchange Student and then attended New Mexico State University and the University of New Mexico. Alan moved to Santa Fe in 1972 and was hired as head waiter at La Tertulia restaurant. He spent the winter seasons skiing at Taos Ski Valley where he and his wife now have a mountain cabin. Alan is married to Anne Jorgensen and they have three young children, a daughter Shanna Marie and two sons Jeremy Richard and Trevor Michael, all born at home. Alan and his family love the great outdoors, especially snow skiing.

Alan became a licensed Realtor in 1982 and in 1989 obtained his brokers license. He was awarded the CRS designation for Certified Residential Specialist in 1992. He is a full time real estate professional whose sales volume ranks him among Santa Fe's top producers. Alan specializes in working with buyers and actively lists properties for sale as well.
