Beckie was born in Ohio, and moved to Alaska with her family in 1948. She grew up in a rural area of the state, and moved to Anchorage in 1962. Her experience in real estate began shortly after the 1964 earthquake, when she began working for an Anchorage real estate appraisal firm. In 1972, Beckie obtained her real estate sales license, but moved on to an administrative career in emergency medicine.

When Beckie changed careers, she chose a field in which she was comfortable with her knowledge and personal experience. She has proven that she can put her skills to work for other people. Beckie focuses on individual needs, and performs with a level of professionalism and friendliness that is commented on by her customers. She follows each transaction through to a successful completion, and works primarily in the residential market in Anchorage and the surrounding areas.
