Wakulla County is known as a sportsman's paradise, and one of the fastest growing counties in Florida. The area is full of wildlife, nature trails, and beaches along the gulf coast, yet just 30 minutes to Tallahassee. The school system in Wakulla County is ranked one of the highest in the state. We moved to this area a few years ago from Lake Tahoe in California, and we feel it is some of the last affordable coastline in Florida. In fact, its called "the forgotten coast."
