Winters are great in Flagstaff as there is a super ski area for downhill and cross country skiers. We're just a couple of hours from the beautiful Grand Canyon. Hiking is one of the major sports within the Verde Valley area as there are hundreds of hiking trails throughout the area. Visit Jerome, a born-again "ghost town" nestled in the Mingus Mountains or visit the second most visited city in Arizona, beautiful Sedona, with its majestic monolithic red rock outcroppings and the Oak Creek. Take a drive up Oak Creek Canyon and enjoy a picnic along the ever-flowing stream. Drop a line into the cool water and try your luck at trout fishing.
