Marty has managed and appraised farm real estate in Indiana, Iowa, and Missouri since 1973. He currently manages 43 properties in Southwest Iowa, and sells farms in Southwest Iowa and Northwest Missouri. As an accredited farm manager and accredited rural appraiser, and licensed real estate broker in Iowa and Missouri, Marty has been active in agribusiness since receiving his B.S. in agriculture from Iowa State University.

His professional accomplishments include earning the ARA (Accredited Rural Appraiser) designation in 1990, and his AFM (Accredited Farm Manager) designation in 1992, through the ASFMRA. Only members who have had years of experience, are technically trained, have passed rigid written and oral examinations, and subscribe to a high code of ethics earn ASFMRA designations. Marty is currently on the ASFMRA Board, and has served as Iowa Chapter President. Marty is also a member of the Iowa and National Association of Realtors.
