Having moved to Deming, New Mexico from Moline, Ill when I was 12 years old I do consider Deming to be my home. The weather in Deming is very mild with temperatures in the winter averaging 59 for the highs and 27 for the lows. The summer temperatures average 94 for the highs and 62 for the lows. Our rainy season is during the months of July - September, our average snowfall is 3 inches per year. Deming is known for its pure water and fast ducks - The Great American Duck Races are held the 4th weekend of August. The population of Luna County is approximately 23,000 people.
