Raised in the Coos Bay Area, I am very involved in the community. I am an active member of my Rotary club and served as it's first woman president in the year it celebrated its 80th year. I am a member of the Chamber of Commerce's Independent Business Owner's core team, helping to put on the weekly meetings that highlight programs that pertain to business issues. I was named the Chamber's Volunteer of the year for 2005. I have been involved in the local schools, serving on North Bend High School's site council, the ESD's School to Work committee and a regional Gender Equity Task force. My past experience includes 15 years as a professional Girl Scout executive. As the director of membership and adult development in a seven county area in Oregon I networked with United Ways, School Districts and other community organizations to ensure availability of the Girl Scout program to all girls. I believe in the power of leadership skills, believing in yourself, a strong moral compass and ethical behavior in every area of your life. I owned my own insurance company for a number of years before joining the CENTURY 21 Best Realty team. I currently am a partner in several Real Estate offices through out the state. I have a strong background in finance, marketing and community economics. My husband Sam and I enjoy racing our sailboats and traveling. We love the beautiful Oregon Coast. We have 3 grown daughters and 3 grandchildren. Family is very important. We have vineyards in the Willamette Valley and are learning about wine making.
