I have always been a hardworking guy who earned his lunch every day. As I grew a little older, I realized that living foot loose and fancy-free wasn't going to get me anywhere. I was tired of throwing away money towards someone else's abode as rent every month. I wanted to get my own home. I knew that I would be then accumulating money that I could get back one day. So, I set out to find a home I could buy. I found a great little place and thought it would be perfect. I went to see my banker that I got along great with and had known for years. She referred me to someone else within my bank. I paid numerous fees and charges. Upon paying these other out-of-pocket expenses, I thought I was on my way. I had to keep calling and pushing them to get things done, even though I was the one paying for everything. Well, the bank told me I had bad credit and wanted to know if I could fix it. Also, I needed to put down a much larger sum of money than I had previously planned. I had saved every dime for the first amount; I therefore, had no other resources available to me. The owners of the place I was trying to buy had been very patient but finally threw in the towel. Five years later Florida's # 1 lender and radio real estate show. A couple of years later I was in a new city, in a higher position and making a lot more money and still wanting my own home. Once again I found a great little place that needed a little work, I felt in my heart this was meant to be my new home. So I went after this one more aggressively with another bank. Unfortunately, with a similar outcome as before, I sadly watched some other family move in. On my way to work in the mornings I watched the entire home improvement process take place. Darn that was supposed to my house! At this point I started educating myself about the whole process. I started with the credit agencies policies and procedures. I learned various ways and methods to fix my credit. Another year rolled around and I hired a credit repair agency that was not cheap. They made me a lot of promises that they never kept. But I was older and very determined. Being an ex-military man, I would not have defeat again. I had found a great little place that wasn't far from the ocean and I had no plans of losing this one. I was always talking to people and trying to learn everything I could about the home buying process. My better half came home one day from work and stated "There's this guy who owns a mortgage company that has helped out a couple of people from work. Here's his number if you want it." At this point, I was willing to try anything. I met this guy on my lunch break at his office. I told him my story and about all the things on my credit that were not mine. He seemed like the first guy that actually believed me. He asked for a few things like W-2s and pay stubs and told me, " I like to promise very little and actually do a lot." I will try to help you. Shoooooooooweee! I felt sincerity in the man and left him the requested items under his office door before work the next morning. I didn't want to lose another minute. He called me the next day to explain that I was right; the majority of the charges were not mine and were erroneous. Well, I already new that, but how he fixed the information in one day and never asked for a penny amazed me. I n fact, I loved this guy! There were still a lot of mysteries abounding in the credit arena. This guy made it happened. I got my new place and we were so happy. I was like a little kid, running on my hallway. Sleeping in different rooms just because they were actually mine, you know, typical silly, fun stuff. I was now happier and more secure in life, knowing I was finally a homeowner. I remained friends with the guy and his lovely wife who had made my dreams come true. Years of frustration fixed in one day. I had a common name you see Charles Byron Andrews. It seems as though there was a Charles C. Andrews causing me a lot of headache. I guess different names confuse the majority of the people within our credit agencies. After being forced to learn so much about real estate and credit, I was became the designated counselor within my circle of friends and peers. I was always helping people so they could have the American dream, too. I found it very rewarding to help people get their homes. I remember every person that I have ever helped. I often thought it would be nice to be in such a great "feel good business" where I actually help people. My friend, Rick Crowder, was the gent that helped me into home ownership. He asked if I would meet him for lunch and I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to ask Rick if he would like to provide what we know to so many more people. He laughed because he had wanted to meet so that we could form a partnership as well. After leaving the military I had worked for a high-tech company and knew a lot about technology. Rick, bless his heart, is a more face-to-face kind of guy. He didn't ever really need much technology with his great personality. I set out to provide the American dream to many by using technology.
